I lost my photography cherry to a cute little point-and-shoot camera not too long ago. I didn’t take it seriously back then, but people started to appreciate the pictures I shot, so I decided to see where this relationship would take me. As time went on I realized that I wanted to learn more and to try new things. I started experimenting with the camera on my mobile phone and absorbing photography tutorials on YouTube. I realized that this photography thing was a keeper, so I put some money away and bought my first DSLR camera, and that’s when s#*t got real. I shoot pictures for me. No trends or specific subjects. My eye is influenced by my mood. Some days I like movement, others, still. There’s something different and special about each project. No concrete plans, I just go with it. I start with a very basic idea and let things happen. Half of my inspiration comes directly from the viewfinder itself. I just let the camera guide me and shoot. That’s it. As I said, I am just out here to please myself. It’s all about me really.
